Hall Of Fame

Salam to all,

As for this entry, I am not planning to write long since I do have my thesis to be completed. I always listen to song whenever I do my assignment and as for today I listened to 'Hall Of Fame' by The Script for the 40 TIMES already. Whenever I listen to the song and it gives me a spirit to continue to write and complete my thesis. No matter what we are doing, the most importantly is the EFFORT. Nothing is impossible in the world as long as you are willing to try and do it. So together with this entry, I ve attached the video clip as well as the lyric and do enjoy it.

Yeah, You could be the greatest

You can be the best
You can be the king kong banging on your chest

You could beat the world
You could beat the war
You could talk to God, go banging on his door

You can throw your hands up
You can be the clock
You can move a mountain
You can break rocks
You can be a master
Don't wait for luck
Dedicate yourself and you can find yourself

Standing in the hall of fame
And the world's gonna know your name
Cause you burn with the brightest flame
And the world's gonna know your name
And you'll be on the walls of the hall of fame

You could go the distance
You could run the mile
You could walk straight through hell with a smile

You could be the hero
You could get the gold
Breaking all the records that thought never could be broke

Do it for your people
Do it for your pride
Never gonna know if you never even try

Do it for your counrty
Do it for you name
Cause there's gonna be a day

When your, standing in the hall of fame
And the world's gonna know your name
Cause you burn with the brightest flame
And the world's gonna know your name
And you'll be on the walls of the hall of fame

Be a champion, Be a champion, Be a champion, Be a champion

On the walls of the hall of fame

#1 Be students
Be teachers
Be politicians
Be preachers

#2 Be believers
Be leaders
Be astronauts
Be champions
Be true seekers

Repeat #1 and #2

Standing in the hall of fame
And the world's gonna know your name
Cause you burn with the brightest flame
And the world's gonna know your name
And you'll be on the walls of the hall of fame

(You can be a champion)
You could be the greatest
(You can be a champion)
You can be the best
(You can be a champion)
You can be the king kong banging on your chest

(You can be a champion)
You could beat the world
(You can be a champion)
You could beat the war
(You can be a champion)
You could talk to God, go banging on his door

(You can be a champion)
You can throw your hands up
(You can be a champion)
You can be the clock
(You can be a champion)
You can move a mountain
(You can be a champion)
You can break rocks

(You can be a champion)
You can be a master
(You can be a champion)
Don't wait for luck
(You can be a champion)

Thank You Presenters!

Hello everybody!

In this post, I will talk about last week's presentation done by my students. To be honest, after few presentations, I admit that I got so frustrated as the students were not interested to present about their work. And yes, I did cry since I don't know what else to do in order to make them realize that communication, especially verbally is very important especially for their academic and occupational success. But I also believe in good things will come for those who wait patiently. :). I am so much satisfied with last week presentation done by my students.

As for my second semester students, they never fail to surprise me. They made spaghetti carbonara  and Milo Tabur. Milo Tabur is ALWAYS AND FOREVER will be my favourite drink. We had a lot of fun cooking and eating together in class and I can say that it is no longer an English class, but it is more to cooking class. I salute their effort to prepare such meal though I ended up 'sakit perut'. But it is a good job and most importantly is, all of them had fun during the lesson and at the same time be able to practice their English.

However, I am more excited with the presentation done by my part three students. All of the three pairs presented about topic that closely related to my interested and very informative not only to me, but also their friends. The first pair, which is LIONEL and DENNEY were talking about their home town which is Sarawak and Sabah respectively. I always love Borneo and I ve been to Sarawak but not Sabah. After listening to Denny's presentation, yes I felt like booking my flight ticket to Sabah straight away and stay there for a week or two to go to places that he mentioned.

The second presentation was done by HASNUL and FIRDAUS. Well, it is a bit dull at the beginning but when ANOL started to do his demo about techniques to play BOWLING then the rest of the students were started to be responsive and asking questions. There was an active participation by most students and I like that  learning atmosphere.

Finally, presentation by HAFIZI and THALHA. I can say that their presentation was the best presentation so far. Not only that the topic chosen was very informative but the fact that they were fully prepared. I like doing outdoor activities and by listening to their presentation regarding PARAGLIDING, I desperately want to do it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The video really inspired me to go for it and FLY! Overall, I like their presentations and I hope that the rest of the classmate also enjoy it to the max and get benefit out of last week's presentations

Before I end my class last's week, HAKIM surprised me when he came out with topic for his friends to write in their blog which is bamboo as structural building. It is a new invention that the students can think of and sell their thoughts for the betterment of the other people.

All in all, I enjoy last week's presentations and I DO HOPE THAT MY STUDENTS SHARED THEIR THOUGHTS OVER TOPIC PROPOSED BY HAKIM and let us learn and share information.:) Have a nice day and I see all of you when I see you.

Do It Your Way!

Hello Everyone,

I ve received a weeding invitation from my friend today through Facebook. Well, I do feel old now as almost  most of friends are getting married and already married well I am still here trying my very best to complete my master. To my surprise, I called her and we had a chat for almost 2 HOURS!!!!! And her future husband is 20 YEARS older than her. I am amazed with that since I always have this feeling that older man will tend to abuse his spouse. But I am praying for her and I do hope that she will have a blissful marriage and will be happy until Jannah

Many of my aunties and uncles were asking me when is it going to be my turn to get married. Well, honestly, I don't know what is the answer for that question as I don't have someone special at the moment. But I do hope that I can find one before I am flying to oversea to do my PhD. But I know that it is not easy to find one.. Marriage in just the begining of a humankind. Thus, it is not something that I can take for granted. I believed that planning is important and I don't want to miss good opportunities in my life to slip away just like that

I admired quotation by Colin Wright:-

'YOU HAVE EXACTLY ONE LIFE IN WHICH TO DO EVERYTHING YOU'LL EVER DO. ACT ACCORDINGLY'

Therefore, make sure when you are doing something, do it your best and remember that you only live once. Cherish every moment and don't listen to negative feedback given to you. What matters the most is your future and to make your love ones proud of you. Till here...keep writing and all enjoy everything that you do. See you guys when I see you guys..

Shifting Profession.... Perhaps!

Hello Everybody,

I was on my way to my office and I was interested with the issue discussed on the radio regarding 'Your Dream Job'. At that point, I thought of my dream profession apart from being an educator. Not to say that I don't fancy my current job, but the fact that there are few things that make me have this urge to change my profession. To many of them, being an educator in university and teaching adult learners is superb. But as for me, things are not as what you think they should be. There are challenges that I need to face and I don't mind.

But sometimes, when I feel the stress of teaching, I do feel that I want to change my profession to a 'PROFESSIONAL TRAVELLER'. I like to travel a lot and I do envy people who can travel anywhere at anytime they want. The fact that being a traveller can make me meet new people and expand my circle of friend, that is what I like the most. Imagine that you have friends from all over the world and knowing a lot of languages and culture... It is awesome and cool!;). I keep a world map in my room and I always have this dream to mark every countries on the map by the time I am 45 years old. I know it seems impossible, but if you never try than you will never know.

However, at the moment, I do need to complete my study first and InsyAllah by June I am manage to work on my dream. The fact that it is hard for me sometimes to find a travelling partner, I do hope that in the future I am manage to travel with awesome people or people that I know from my road trips and enjoy every moment of it..

As for readers for this entry, dream big, do things that you like while you can and appreciate every moment of your life. As for my students, work hard to achieve your dream and I see you when I see you. :)

It's Getting Harder

Hello Everybody,

I am not sure actually what to write in my first entry. But today I managed to get them to create their own blogs as I don't have much time left for my dissertation. I really DO want to complete everything before the end of June as I have make plans for my future.

But as expected, there are some of them are reluctant (I do understand that) but some have been very helpful towards me. :'). Thank you so much for that. I didn't ask them to do much, but only to help me to complete my dissertation. It is such a heartbreaking when you didn't get the respond that you want, but in life, you can't force people to do things that they don't have the desire to do. Rather than focusing on those who are not interested, I would rather change my focus to those who are interested. I know that 'Thank You' is sometimes not enough to some people, but I will always pray for their success in the future. That is the least that I can do right now.

I am totally restless and helpless. But like the Malay saying; 'Bukan senang nak senang'. I take it as a challenge and I do hope that they sincere to help me. I am sure that I can rely on Allah to move on and take this as part of the ups and downs in life. I hope that, by next week, everything will be just fine for me and I can starts to continue with my data collection straight away.

As for those who are volunteer to help, thank you so much and I do hope that all of you will get the benefits out of project. :). Last but not least, what matters the most is a sincere heart to help and kindness shows from all of you that willing to help me.

I can't wait to start the project and I hope you guys feel the same way as well. Till then, I see you when I see you.
